2014 Promo for Lakeshore Center at Okoboji

New Name, Same Faithful Ministry

Beginning January 1, 2014, The Presbyterian Camp on Okoboji  became Lakeshore Center at Okoboji.

The need for this change is twofold:

1)  When you hear the word "camp" you quite often think about kids, bunk beds, and summer. While we still have a summer camp program and we still have bunk beds and kids, we are more than that.  We now have our Lodge which is open year-round and has adult-friendly accommodations which include queen-size beds and private baths.

2)  All are welcome here.  Although we are owned by two Presbyterian entities, we are open to all people who wish to have retreats, reunions, or meetings in a beautiful setting in God's creation.  We want to be more inclusive.

For more information about our name change, contact our Executive Director, Beth Ehlers, 712-337-3313.

We hope to see you soon at Lakeshore Center at Okoboji!

Welcome Friends of Lakeshore Center at Okoboji!

Welcome to Lakeshore Center at Okoboji.  It is our genuine belief that all children of God, both young and old and everyone in between, are called to retreat to a quiet place and be ministered to by God's Holy Spirit.  Our mission is to seek to be a sacred space where all may come and experience God.  You do not need to be Presbyterian to enjoy our Camp.  ALL are welcome here.

Within this website, you will see that we have a lot to offer.  From summer camp opportunities to retreats for young and old, we hope that you will come to Lakeshore and get away from the busyness of life.  Come and reconnect or rediscover God in the rustling of the leaves on the trees, walk with God in conversation by the beach, or experience God in the laughter and joy that one may find at Camp!

Every Donation Counts

Lakeshore Center at Okoboji hosts many church groups, serves hundreds of summer campers, and provides facilities for family reunions, weddings, and retreats every year. In order to serve so many, to maintain and improve our facilities, and to be good stewards of this beautiful, natural setting, we depend on contributions from individuals, churches and organizations.
Every gift can help send a child to camp or to help support our year round programs. To donate online, click here.

Lakeshore Center serves all who choose to attend and is a ministry of North Central Iowa, Prospect Hill, Minnesota Valley Presbyteries and is associated with the Presbyterian Church (USA).

We are located on Miller's Bay of gorgeous West Lake Okoboji by water and Highway 86 by land. Click here for detailed directions.
